Plug and Play Accelerator Canada to host Startup Showdown
Calling all Calgary startups!
If you want to win a $25,000 investment in your business, then start preparing your pitch.
Plug and Play Tech Center, the global accelerator headquartered in Silicon Valley, is celebrating the launch of Plug and Play Accelerator Canada with a Startup Showdown. The event is a partnership between Plug and Play, The Consulate General of Canada, and Boast Capital (an SR&ED consulting firm that also teamed up with Plug and Play for Startup Camp Canada, which we wrote about earlier this summer).
On October 9th, startups will pitch to a panel of investors for a chance to get a $25,000 investment and a spot in Plug and Play Accelerator Canada's program. The winner will also get three months of free office space at the Assembly Coworking Space in Calgary and three months at the Plug and Play Tech Center in Silicon Valley.
But that’s not all. They'll also participate in weekly mentoring sessions and get access to a network of over 180 investors (like Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital).
Plus, the winner will pitch at the Spring 2013 Plug and Play Expo in Silicon Valley.
But you’ll have to hurry. The deadline to apply is September 28th.
