LAST now called INVENT Ventures

Los Angeles Syndicate of Technology Inc. ('LAST') has renamed itself as INVENT Ventures Inc. according to a press release this week. LAST (oops, I mean Invent) is a publicly traded seed-stage venture fund and technology incubator based in Santa Monica CA, aka Silicon Beach. On their web page they say they're the only publicly traded US company that's focused on tech startups and they brand themselves as "a team of institutional co-founders".

The company also announced that it has implemented a 3-for-1 forward split of its common stock outstanding. They're changing their trading symbol, too; currently trading as LASTD, they'll begin trading as IDEA on October 17.
