Kenya's 88mph partnering with Google Umbono
The 88mph accelerator (http://www.88mph.ac/) based in Nairobi, Kenya, has signed a partnership agreement with Google's Umbono program (http://www.google.co.za/intl/en/umbono/). As part of this agreement, Johanna Kollar, from Google’s Startup Support Programs and Ezequiel Vidra, Head of Campus London will join the 88mph advisory board.
www.thenextweb.com reports that the deal includes an ‘entrepreneur-in-residence’ program which would bring in 4-6 experienced tech entrepreneurs from around the world to work full-time side by side with the startups at 88mph.
Umbono is an accelerator based in Cape Town, South Africa and this agreement fits well with 88mph's plans to expand into South Africa.
