HugeThing organizing Startup Pirates event in Poznań

Are you a wannabe entrepreneur hoping to find buried treasure with your world-changing idea? Are you in Poland? Here's your chance -- Poland's HugeThing accelerator is one of the organizers of the Startup Pirates @ Poznań. If you can't make the event in Poland, there could be a similar event coming soon to a place near you. Startup Pirates is a world-wide movement that aims to hold a series of one-week acceleration programs in cities all over the world.

Basically the goal of the Startup Pirates concept is to help participants structure and develop their ideas through a combination of training, mentoring and idea development. The week-long events culminate with an opportunity to pitch their ideas to investors and business people. The event in Poznań is one of the first and starts on Saturday September 22nd. It ends the following Saturday with final pitches. Applicants need to be approved and there is a small fee to participate. Click here to apply: http://poznan.startuppirates.org/register/

http://www.startuppirates.org/pirates.html lists events being organized in Slovakia, Poland, Portugal, China (Macau), Spain, South Africa and Brazil. Interested in organizing one near you? Here's a link for that: http://www.startuppirates.org/organize.html. There aren't any shown for North America yet, so here's your chance to get on the bandwagon. Check out their short video below.

You can follow them on twitter here: @spiratespoznan (for the event in Poland) and here: @HelloPirates (for the larger Startup Pirates movement).
