Chesapeake Innovation Center exec director position still open

Dust of your resumes if you're interested in heading up an accelerator. The Chesapeake Innovation Center (CIC) in Maryland is searching for a new executive director. But you had better act quickly: they hope to fill the position by October 1 and they've heard from 50 prospects so far. CIC focuses on defence and homeland security businesses. The interim director is board member Renee Winsky who is the founder of Bay One Group, a consulting firm.

Previous executive director Sarah Djamshidi (pictured here) resigned end of July to start a new business although her LinkedIn profile as of this morning still shows her at CIC.

According to the job description, posted here, the salary is $110k to $130k plus benefits. They want someone with a small business and high tech background with 5+ years experience. Although it says that applications should have been submitted in August, it still may not be too late to put your hat in the ring.
