Canadian startup QA on Request selected for Startup Chile
Montreal start-up QA on Request has been selected to be in the next cohort of entrepreneurs heading to Chile in this month to take part in the global accelerator program Start-Up Chile. Start-Up Chile is a program of the Chilean Government to attract world-class early stage entrepreneurs to start their businesses in Chile. It's an ambitious program, too. QA on Request is one of 101 (yes, 101) startups chosen. Each startup gets US$40k of equity-free seed capital, a 1-year work visa, and access to local Chilean financial and social networks. Companies need to commit to work in Chile for at least 6 months.
“As a young company we are always striving for more financing and more visibility” said QA on Request co-founder Simon Papineau. “Participating in Start-Up Chile will enable us to apply the lessons learned in our first year of existence as we prepare to go global with our unique crowdsourced software testing platform. The Montreal start-up ecosystem has been very good to us so far. Now, with Start-Up Chile’s support, we will continue to develop our web platform, our international community of software testers and our clientele in South America and around the world."
QA on Request was founded in 2011. It provides quality assurance testing services to a wide range of companies, from start-ups in the mobile industry to large web development agencies.
Congratulations to QA on Request for (a) getting accepted for this terrific opportunity and (b) for cleverly escaping winter in Montreal for summer in Chile.
