Calling all hardware startups... HAXLR8R is ready for round 2!
HAXLR8R is looking for a few good startups for its second cohort, which begins in January 2013.
The San Francisco-based accelerator helps hardware-based startups move from concept to product. Teams spend most of the 111-day program in Shenzhen, China, working on their prototype and learning about manufacturing, supply chain management and distribution.
For the last two weeks of the program, in May, teams will travel to San Francisco for Demo Day.
HAXLR8R (pronounced “Hack-celerator”) has also announced that Zach Hoeken (co-founder of MakerBot) is taking on the role of Program Director. Hoeken has been living in China for the last year and a half.
Startups will also work with a great group of mentors including: Brad Feld (Foundry Group), Nolan Bushnell (Pong, Atari), Ben Rubin (Zeo), Bill Warner (AVID/Warner Research), David Holz (LEAP Motion) and Richard Kelly (IDEO).
HAXLR8R is looking for ten startups for their second cohort.
Applications will be accepted until November 18th.
