A bit of good news for Central Taiwan Science Park
There's been no shortage of bad news about Taiwan's struggling science parks. Just yesterday we reported about a 1200-1300 person layoff at one of the companies located at the Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP). That was on top of 200 earlier layoffs at other companies. This morning's China Post reported some better news: Largan Precision, a cellphone camera lens maker, has said it will recruit about 1,000 new employees for its facilities located at CTSP. That's a big help for the park, but they have a long way to go.
